Ingredients

  • Dry Ingredients
  • 2 Cups 2 All Purpose Flour

  • 1 TBSP 1 Baking Powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Salt

  • 1 tsp 1 Cinnamon

  • 2 tsp 2 Pumpkin Pie Spices (In the notes I tell you how to make this if you don’t already have a mix)

  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 Frozen Grated Butter

  • Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 Brown Sugar

  • 1/3 Cup 1/3 Heavy Cream

  • 1 tsp 1 Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Cup 1 Pumpkin Puree

  • 1 1 Egg

  • Add On
  • 1 TBSP 1 Coarse Sugar

  • 2 TBSP 2 Heavy Cream

Directions

  • Whisk All dry ingredients together
  • Grate Butter and mix into dry mix by hand
  • Mix all wet ingredients together
  • Add the wet to the dry and fold until it starts to get doughy
  • Shape the dough into a round ball and place on a floured surface
  • Flatten the dough into a circle about an inch and a half tall and cut into 8 slices
  • Cover scones and put in freezer for a half hour
  • Heat oven to 400 F
  • Brush scones with heavy cream and add sugar if desired
  • Bake scones for 25 minutes
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don’t want to buy pumpkin spice you may already have all the spices already. Just mix 3 TBSP Cinnamon 2 tsp ground ginger, 2 tsp nutmeg, 2 tsp allspice, and 2 tsp ground cloves together and voila; Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix acquired!
  • If you’re going the flakier route and using less pumpkin you can also blot the pumpkin puree by putting it on top of some paper towels or cheese cloth and removing the excess moisture!
