Intro to Bear
Hello there, I’m stoked that you have decided to stop by Bear’s Recipes, my new food blog! My name is Zach, but my family and friends often call me Bear, and so can you. I love the outdoors, the beach, animals and finding new recipes to try. Oh and also my wife of course who’s in this photo with me.
I’m originally from the Oregon coast, now living in Tennessee, and have spent some time traveling abroad. Whenever I travel, I always try to come back and recreate my favorite dishes from my time away. In addition, I’ve been cooking since I was young, and am mostly self taught through videos, recipes from my family, and trial and error. Having these experiences I feel confident in starting this food blog to help others learn the joy of cooking a good meal!
Blog’s Goals
My goal with this blog is to help you find your next favorite meal. I can assure you there’s something out there that you haven’t tried yet that could be your new favorite. I’ve had many different favorite meals myself over the years. If you’d have asked me in high school I’d have said Sushi or In college Yakisoba with Seafood. Now I can’t live without a savory bowl of Phở Bò. I enjoy eating and making food from many different cultures and want my blog to be about exploring recipes from all over the world.
I Want To Help You Cook!
Lastly, if you are here with a dish in mind already, I want to be able to help you figure out how to make it. Perhaps a meal you had at a restaurant, or something you saw on a cooking show, or anything that’s living rent free in your head right now. Recreating recipes and making them taste exactly how I like, (and hopefully how you like too) is such a fun hobby. I love hearing about new or interesting foods (and if you have any suggestions or things you’d like to see me try to recreate, please reach out.
